Convention 2014 Stipend Opportunity
The Down Syndrome Association of Greater New Orleans is giving stipends to the National Down Syndrome Congress Convention July 11-13, 2014 in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a great opportunity to lessen the cost for a family to attend this valuable conference. A family can receive up to $1500 reimbursement toward documented eligible expenses incurred attending the convention. These include up to 75% of the lodging, transportation, and registration costs for the recipients (no meals are included).
Please fill out the registration form and have it dated by February 15th to be considered for the first selection of stipend recipients. Even though the conference is not until July, it is critical to make your decision to attend or not when the hotel opens for reservations early March.
If there are funds left over after the first selection of recipients, a second opportunity to apply and be selected will be held with a May deadline. The stipends will be rewarded to selected members after the conference as a cost reimbursement after submittal of receipts.
Stipend Requirements:
| • Must be a member of DSAGNO prior to 01/01/14 and be willing to be involved with DSAGNO activities. |
| • Be willing to share information you learn at the conference with members of DSAGNO. |
